Run for a Reason

Every step you run or walk will get you closer to the marathon (or half marathon) finish line and closer to your goal, so every step counts. But do you realize how your steps can help someone else reach their goal? Maybe their goal is to extend their life a little longer as science searches for a cure for their disease. Maybe their goal is to be a participant in a 5K despite their disability or maybe their goal is to have a safe shelter for their children, free from physical and emotional abuse.

Your steps can help others! Please consider running or walking your Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon or Half on behalf of the Official Charities. With very little extra effort, you'll reach your goal and at the same time make a huge difference in someone's life. Ask your friends and family to join you in your efforts by making a donation in your name to this very important group of charitable organizations. It's very easy to do and oh so rewarding. *The money you raise will go directly to the official marathon charity you choose. If you choose to become a fundraiser you can set up your own website where you can post updates on your training and even post pictures if you like! You can send messages to everyone on your email list asking them to support you and your charity of choice. Enjoy the recognition YOU deserve!

All of the Official Charities will be represented along the course during the marathon and half marathon lending support and guidance to all the athletes. Feel good about helping those who cannot run along side you.
