Long distance runners used to be thought of as lonely people but that has changed over the years with the growth of the sport and the advent of training groups. The lonely runner has been replaced by small groups and large groups and each year more and more of these groups choose to do the Carlsbad Marathon. We are grateful to them for choosing us and we eagerly throw out the welcome mat every January. If you have a least 5 runners or walkers in your group we want you here on race day. Whether you are a family from Brooklyn, a running club from Nebraska or a company from Los Angles, we want you to feel welcome and we are ready to help you have a really great experience while you are with us. We have a special team area near the finish line where you can display your team banner, we can steer you in the right direction to find the right hotel and place to party, and our announcers will acknowledge you as you cross the finish line. You may even want to have your own tent and massage therapist at the finish line. It's possible. Just let us know.

We are very interested in knowing more about you so send us some info and even a picture and whenever possible we will let people know you are coming. If you can think of anything else just let us know. Click here to send us an email or call us today at 760 / 692-2900.

We had a FABULOUS time .. and great weather! Its amazing how the sun lifts the stress off your shoulders!

Congratulations on a well organized Marathon / Half Marathon. You make the job of other organizers, like myself, very easy!

I would like to say a big thank you to your Race Announcer. I am the Race Announcer for the Queen City Marathon in my city, and my rule is that I stay until the last person crosses. It meant the world to my last walkers to have their name announced at the finish line -- it was very emotional for all of them (us)!

Also thank you to your many volunteers throughout the day that I met, they were wonderful and always helpful. Especially your finish line volunteers who let a group of my team stay right at the finish line and present medals to some of our last participants who took 8 hours. Many of our team members travel without family -- we are their family. It was an experience they will never forget.

Thank you again for hosting our Canadian Team - we hope to return someday.
