Half Marathon Course
This course is the fastest in the San Diego area and one of the fastest in the U.S. It starts and finishes at the same location as the marathon; however the courses are not the same. After the starter's gun goes off, you'll head to the ocean and Carlsbad Boulevard (Highway 101). You'll run south on the 101 to the turn around point at Break Water and then you'll head back to the finish line. The out-and-back course is gently rolling, with no major elevation changes. Run this course and you will see why some of the fastest half marathon times in the U.S. run here.
